Alexander “Luca” Nardella, of Thornwood, N.Y. passed unexpectedly on October 31 st, 2021, at the age of 64. Alex was loved by many, especially by his two children, LouiseAnne “Veronica” and Michael. He was born in the Bronx and moved to Westchester in 1993. He worked as a millwright and also as a freelance welder.
Alex was known as “the mayor” because he was such an amazing person and was able to make friends everywhere he went. His passions included working out at the gym, collecting baseball memorabilia, and he was a huge fan of horror movies. If he wasn’t enjoying his hobbies, he was spending time with his children and other family. He was a complete character; always doing things to make people laugh. One time he was dared to interrupt a wedding, so he dressed up in a gorilla costume, kissed the groom, shook hands with the bride, and then barrel rolled down the aisle to escape. This is just one of the many stories he will be remembered by. He was also described as being charismatic, charming, and loving, however words can only describe a portion of the impression he left on people.
He was a light in this dim world and now with him gone, the world is a darker place. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a Local Animal Shelter, would be appreciated.
A Celebration of His Life will take place at Hawthorne Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan.15,2022 from 2-5 PM.
