Professor Alexandar Stefanov Ianchulev, visionary civic leader, distinguished educator, fighter for democracy, and devoted family man, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy marked by courage and enduring service to his family and his country.

Born on October 7, 1938, in Sofia, Bulgaria, Alexandar entered the world during the harsh years of the Second World War, a time that would shape his character. He was the son of Stefan Ianchulev and Todorka Ribarova. His early childhood was marked by hardship when the new communist regime sent his father to a concentration camp. In the face of this loss and uncertainty, Alexandar learned early the necessity of strength, unwavering determination, and work ethic.

A gifted student, Alexandar graduated with top accolades and pursued engineering-laying the foundation for a lifetime of analytical rigor, innovation, and leadership. His academic path eventually led him to become a respected professor, inspiring countless students with passion for knowledge.

He leaves behind his sons, Stefan (Catherine), Tsoncho (Elina), and his grandchildren-Sophia, Alexander T., Alexander J., and Phillip who were his greatest joy.
