Albino Perazzo
August 16, 1932 - October 21, 2026
It is with deep sadness and love that we announce the passing of Albino Perazzo, beloved Husband, Father, and Grandpa.
How can you adequately sum up 94 amazing years in a few sentences? It is impossible.
Albino was born on August 16th, 1932, in the small mountain farming village of Calamello, Italy. He learned hard work at a young age and loved it all. In his twenties he left Italy for three years to find work in Venezuela, following in the footsteps of his older brother, Rino (who pre-deceased him). He then returned briefly to Italy to marry his beloved wife, Lena, on September 6th, 1958, and a few months later they settled in New York.
Albino embodied the American Dream, ultimately achieving - through relentless hard work and perseverance -- his own business in the septic-and-drainage field. His skills, honesty, and integrity in his field earned him the nickname "Doc." Due to their level of trust in him, his clients continued to call him for his advice, guidance, and opinion even when he was well into his late 80s.
There was nothing Albino couldn't fix or build, and he loved his garden and being outdoors. There was always a tool in his hand, doing repairs. Perhaps his greatest labor of love was the endless work he did, over the course of many years, to convert an old barn in upstate New York into a rustic, charming getaway home for his family to enjoy. So wonderful were the lifelong memories created there, that Albino's daughter, Lucy, eventually chose that home to be the place where she married her wonderful husband, John Edwards, in October 2000.
Albino leaves behind his beloved wife of 68 years, Lena; his devoted children, John and Lucy (and her husband John); and his precious grandchildren, Arianna and Siena. Those grandchildren were his absolute greatest joy on this Earth; he proudly showed their photos, which were carefully, lovingly tucked inside his worn and weathered wallet, to EVERYONE.
He also leaves behind a younger brother, Sergio, and a younger sister, Maria, both residing in Italy, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
We are grateful for the care Albino received from our wonderful Health Aide, Linda Osei, and the loving care and devotion provided by his children, John and Lucy.
We will miss Albino tremendously and remember his humor, spirit, hard work, and dedication to his family. He was the very embodiment of a child of God, and he will live on through the memories and gratitude of all who were blessed to know him.
