Norris Fox

April 17, 1957 — September 8, 2023

Mamaroneck, NY

It is with indescribable sadness that we announce the passing of Norris Fox, our beloved husband, father, son, brother, and doctor, on September 8, 2023. Norris departs this world to join his parents, Herbert and Lea Fox, in peace. He is survived by his dear wife Lisa, sons Matthew and Kyle, stepchildren Jakob and Rebecca, brothers Charlie and Michael, nephews, and niece.

Norris was born in Queens, NY on April 17, 1957, the first child of Herbert and Lea Fox. He attended the University of Rochester and completed medical school at the University of Monterey. An intelligent, caring, and hardworking man, Norris was a great physician who was deeply respected and loved by his colleagues, patients, and all who had the opportunity to work alongside him.

Norris's sons Matthew and Kyle were born in 1994 and 1999. Norris was devoted to their protection and care, and loved them greatly. He met the woman who would become his beloved wife Lisa in 2002. Norris loved and cared for Lisa so deeply, and loved his stepchildren Jakob and Rebecca as family. Norris and Lisa lived together in loving companionship in Mamaroneck, NY for the last 13 years. Norris was a good-hearted, eccentric, funny, great man, who loved the Yankees and all animals he encountered, especially his adored cats, and would rarely leave a conversation without making a joke.

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life for Norris will be held Saturday December 2, 2023 at 3:30pm at The Sanctuary at The Community Unitarian Universalist Congregation of White Plains, 468 Rosedale Ave, White Plains, NY 10605. Donations may be made in Norris's honor to Doctors without Borders or the National Alliance on Mental Illness, both of which Norris made monthly donations to.
