Born on November 17, 1970 Departed on August 24, 2012

Steven Mario Ercolino was taken far too soon from this world on Friday, August 24, 2012. He was 41 years old. He was born on November 17, 1970 in Brooklyn, NY, the loving son of Rosalie and Frank Ercolino. He is survived by his two brothers; Paul Ercolino and his wife Elisa, Peter Ercolino and his wife Andrea, and his sister Maria Rashford and her husband Jason. He was adored by his nephews Vincent, Nicholas and Matthew, and his nieces Sofia, Gabriella and Alexandra. He had countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him dearly. He is also survived by his long-time girlfriend, Ivette Rivera, who was his soul mate. Steven grew up in Nanuet, NY and graduated from Clarkstown South High School in 1988. As a child, he played baseball with the Nanuet Little League and football with the New City Rams. He went on to play football in high school. He attended Oneonta State College and graduated in 1992 with a degree in Business Administration. He was a successful business man. Steven was the apple of his mother's eye and his father's best friend. His love and devotion for his family was second to none. He lit up the room with his smile, and his personality was larger than life. He had a zest for life, and it came out in everything he did. He had a passion for NY sports; the Jets, Mets, Knicks and Rangers were his favorite teams. Steven, along with his father and brothers were passionate about sports and enjoyed discussing them on a daily basis. He was athletic, active and enjoyed fitness of all kinds. Steven had a special bond with his younger sister Maria, who he looked after and cherished. Steven and his younger brother Peter, born just 11 months apart, were inseparable in childhood and grew up to be even closer as adults. Although they lived miles apart, they were only a daily phone call away. Steven always respected and looked up to his older brother Paul. He admired him as a family man and listened to his words of wisdom. Steven found his true love later in life. Ivette and Steven met many years ago at his first job, and as fate would have it, they reconnected. They had a life together, enjoying traveling and spending time with their families. Steven was devoted to Ivette. Steven will be remembered by all that knew him as a caring son, loving brother, doting uncle, and faithful friend. His presence will live on in all those he touched.
